PROJECT DETAILS
Every kitchen project starts with a problem to solve. For this South London home, the aim was to open up a crowded U-shaped layout, keep useful storage and deliver the handleless look the customer wanted, all for £5,598.
Designed by Jing Wang, Kitchen Coach at KUBE Dulwich, this kitchen combines Senso Coral and Senso Slate Grey with a 16mm White Concrete slimline worktop. It is a good example of how thoughtful planning and flexible cabinetry can make a challenging space feel simpler, brighter and easier to use.

The brief: open up a crowded kitchen
This South London house had an existing U-shaped kitchen, with one side positioned against the window. It provided useful workspace, but it also made the room feel enclosed and restricted movement.
The customer wanted a more open layout that would be easier to move around in, while keeping plenty of storage and worktop space. They also had a clear design vision: a genuinely handle-less kitchen with a modern, streamlined finish.
This was not simply a change of doors. It was a complete replacement kitchen with a new layout designed around the way the room needed to work.

The design challenge: making the most of the chimney breast
The chimney breast was one of the room’s main design challenges. The customer wanted the units to wrap around it and sit flush at the front, creating a clean run of cabinetry without losing useful storage.
Removing one side of the original U-shaped layout also meant that every centimetre mattered. Jing Wang used the flexibility of KUBE Kitchens cabinetry, including depth reduction options, to adapt the units to the shape of the room.
The result is a design that works with the chimney breast rather than trying to hide it. The cabinetry feels balanced, intentional and fitted to the space.
What does a £5,598 kitchen include?
The ALL THIS FOR price for this KUBE kitchen was £5,598. The customer has chosen to fit the kitchen themselves, so installation is not included in this figure.
CABINETS + WORKTOPS + APPLIANCES + SINK & TAP
When comparing kitchen prices, it is always worth checking what is included in the quote, such as cabinetry, worktops, appliances, delivery and installation. Your KUBE Coach can talk you through the details and help you make informed choices for your space and budget.
