FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

DESIGN

How do I start designing my kitchen?
Before you start thinking about style - start with thinking about how you live (or how you want to live) in your kitchen space. Think about how you cook, who you cook with, how much storage you need, and what’s working (or not working) in your current kitchen. Once you’ve done that, then you can start thinking about your design and aesthetic preferences. And of course, our KUBE Kitchen Coaches are on hand to help you bring your ideas to life, via a free appointment.
I have no idea what style I want — can you help?
Absolutely. Most customers don’t walk in with a perfect vision — that’s what we’re here for. Our Kitchen Coaches will guide you through colours, layouts and features, asking the right questions to help you figure out what suits your taste, your space and your lifestyle.
I have a tricky space — can you help with awkward layouts?
Yes - it’s what our Kitchen Coaches are here for! Tricky spaces and awkward layouts are where great design really comes into its own. Our team specialises in finding creative, functional solutions that maximise every inch of your kitchen no matter the shape or size. We’ll work closely with you to turn any design challenges into unique features that truly work for your lifestyle.
What if I change my mind after seeing the design?
That’s completely fine. Your design isn’t set in stone until you’re ready to order. We can tweak colours, layouts and features, and we’ll only move forward once you’re 100% happy.
Is the design appointment free?
Yes, we offer complimentary design appointments in-store or online with one of our expert Kitchen Coaches, with no obligation to buy. We believe good design should come first, and we’re confident you’ll love what we create together.
How long does a design appointment take?
A design appointment typically lasts between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of your kitchen.
Do you offer virtual appointments if I can’t make it in person?
We’re happy to offer virtual appointments for your convenience. Whether you're unable to visit our showroom or simply prefer to plan from the comfort of your home. Our Kitchen Coaches can meet with you via video call to discuss your design, share ideas and guide you through materials and finishes. Just let us know what works best for your schedule and we’ll get you booked in.
Can I bring a friend, family member or builder with me to the appointment?
You’re more than welcome to bring a friend, family member, builder or anyone else whose input is important to you. We encourage having all key decision makers involved. It can really help streamline the design process and ensure we're all aligned from the start. Just let us know how many people will be attending so we can prepare the space accordingly.
Can I start designing even if I don’t know my exact measurements yet?
Yes, you can still start the design process without exact measurements. â€‹In fact, an initial â€‹â€‹appointment is a great time to explore styles, layout ideas and functionality or the design. Our Kitchen Coaches can create a concept based on estimated dimensions or floor plans and once you're ready, we’ll work with you to confirm precise measurements before finalising anything.

MEASUREMENT

Do you offer a measurement service?
Yes, we do! Speak to your local Kitchen Coach and we’ll arrange a free home measurement visit. One of our trained surveyors will visit your home to measure up professionally, check all the key details, and make sure your design fits perfectly.
What does the home measurement include?
We’ll measure the full layout of your kitchen space — including walls, ceiling height, door and window positions, service points (like sockets and pipes), and any quirks like boxed-in areas, beams, or sloped ceilings.
How long does a home measure appointment take?
A home measure appointment usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes.
Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?
Just make sure we have clear access to the kitchen, and try to remove anything that might block key areas (like furniture or appliances). If you have pets, it’s helpful to keep them out of the way during the visit. We only measure visible fixtures and won't move furniture or appliances to access hidden areas.
How do I book a home measure appointment?
You can book online via our website, call your nearest store, or visit us in person to schedule a time that suits you.
When should I book a kitchen measurement?
Ideally, you should book your measure before your design appointment. If your space is under construction (like during an extension), we’ll arrange a visit as soon as it’s safe and practical to do so.
Can you measure during renovations or unfinished rooms?
Yes, depending on the condition of the space. While â€‹â€‹Kitchen Coaches can measure partially finished rooms, final installation surveys must always take place in a completed room to ensure accurate fitting.
Do you use digital or manual tools to measure?
We use a combination of tape measures and laser measuring tools for accuracy. Photos and notes are taken during the visit and can be shared with you upon request.
What happens if the room isn’t level?
If your floor or walls are uneven, our installer will record these issues during the survey. They can also provide a quote for any levelling work if needed.
Do you charge for re-measuring or follow-up visits?
The first measure is always free. If a second visit by the installer is required and the â€‹project is later cancelled, a £100 charge may apply to cover costs.
Do I need to approve or sign off on the measurements?
No formal sign-off is needed for the measurement. However, all key points will be recorded and used in the final plan.
Can I measure my kitchen myself?
Yes, we’re happy to work from customer-supplied measurements, especially in spaces still under construction. However, for best results and accuracy, we strongly recommend booking a professional measure, particularly if you’re using our installation service.
How do I measure my own kitchen?
We recommend a professional home measure for accuracy, but if you prefer to measure yourself, use a tape measure to note the lengths of all walls, windows, doors, and ceiling height. Sketch the layout and include where utilities are located.
Should I measure in cm or inches?
We recommend using centimetres or millimetres, as that’s how our kitchen units are sized. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect — we’ll help you tidy it up at your appointment.
Do I need to measure my current kitchen units?
Nope! We just need room dimensions, not the size of your current cabinets or worktops.
Can you help if I’m not sure I’ve measured it right?
Our Kitchen Coaches can guide you into measuring the correct way to ensure accurate measurements.

PAYMENTS & FINANCE

Is kitchen installation included in my finance plan?
Installation costs aren’t eligible for consumer finance. This part of your project will need to be paid for in full before fitting begins — we’ll make sure that’s all clearly outlined in your quote, so there are no surprises.
When do I need to pay?
A deposit is required to secure your order, with the balance typically due prior to delivery or installation. Finance customers will follow the agreed payment schedule.  Find out more from our Kitchen Coaches in-store.
What type of payment methods are available?
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and finance payment options (subject to approval).
Do you offer interest free credit?
Yes, we offer interest free credit options on qualifying purchases. Terms and conditions apply. Please speak to a member of our team for more details.
How do I pay off my finance?
Your finance agreement will outline your repayment schedule. You can manage and pay off your balance directly through the finance provider’s customer portal.

DELIVERY

How long does installation take?
It depends on the size and complexity of your kitchen, but most installations take between 1-2 weeks. We’ll give you a more accurate timescale once your design is finalised.
I can’t find my unit for my dishwasher. What should I be looking for?
The dishwasher unit is typically a front panel only, as integrated dishwashers are fitted directly into a gap between cabinets. Look for a matching door panel labelled as such in your delivery.
I can’t find my unit for my washing machine. What should I be looking for?
Like the dishwasher, integrated washing machines only require a door panel, not a full unit. Check your order for a front panel and appliance housing fittings.

INSTALLATION

Do you offer an installation service?
Yes, we offer a professional installation service carried out by experienced fitters. You can discuss installation options during your design appointment.
How much does installation cost?
We keep installation simple with a fixed price per unit. That means your cost is based on your kitchen layout and doesn't differ tradesman to tradesman. No haggling required. Speak to your Kitchen Coach to get an accurate quote based on your kitchen design.
What is a dry fit installation?
Installation covers assembling and fitting your kitchen units, worktops, panels, and handles. Electrical, plumbing or gas works aren’t included but can be arranged separately through a qualified tradesperson.
Will the installer complete my tiling/plastering?
Tiling and plastering are not included in standard installation. These services must be arranged separately. However, we can recommend trusted tradespeople if required.
Do I need to clear out my old kitchen first?
Yes, your old kitchen needs to be fully removed before installation starts. If you’d like help with that, we offer a kitchen rehoming or recycling service, we’ll carefully take out your old kitchen and give it a second life or recycle it responsibly.
Will I be without a kitchen during installation?
Yes — your kitchen won’t be usable while fitting is underway. We’ll help you plan ahead so you know what to expect.
Can I arrange my own fitter?
Yes, you’re welcome to arrange your own installation if you prefer. Just let us know at the planning stage so we can ensure you have everything you need — and we’ll still be on hand to support you if you or your fitter have any questions.
Can I fit my KUBE kitchen myself?

Yes, you can if you’re confident with tools and have experience in kitchen fitting, we’ll supply everything you need to install your KUBE kitchen yourself. Our cabinets come pre-assembled (no flat-packs here), which makes the job quicker and easier.

That said, fitting a kitchen involves precise measuring, levelling, and adjustments — and often requires coordination with plumbing, electrics, and appliances. So if you’re unsure, we always recommend using a professional installer to make sure everything looks spot on and works exactly as it should.

Need a hand? We have a team of trusted fitters who can take care of it for you.

How to install a dishwasher door on a Line N kitchen?
To install a dishwasher door on a Line N kitchen, align the door with the appliance using the provided fixing kit, ensuring it is level with adjacent doors. Specific installation instructions are included with your kitchen pack or can be requested from our support team.
How do I secure my wall units to the wall?
Wall units are fixed using heavy-duty brackets and wall plugs suited to your wall type. Full installation instructions are provided with your kitchen. We recommend professional fitting for safety and accuracy.
How do you install a corner post?
A corner post is used where two runs of cabinets meet at an angle. It is cut to size and fixed in place to cover the join and allow doors to open correctly. Detailed fitting instructions are provided.
Does a corner post need cutting?
Yes, in most cases the corner post will need to be trimmed to fit your specific kitchen layout.

KITCHEN CARE

What is the best product to use to clean my kitchen?
Our nobilia quality testing laboratory advises using hot water (around 70°C) and a small amount of washing up liquid. Avoid bleach, scouring powders, or anything containing ammonia. For specific materials, check the care guide provided with your kitchen.
How do I best look after my worktop?
To keep your worktop in top condition, clean it regularly using a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Always use a chopping board and never place hot pans directly on the surface. For specific materials like quartz, granite, or laminate, follow the manufacturer’s care guidelines.
Can I place a hot pan on my worktop?
We do not recommend placing hot pans directly on any worktop. Always use heat-resistant mats or trivets to prevent damage such as burns, discolouration, or warping.
What do I do if my appliance develops a fault?
If your appliance is still under warranty, contact the manufacturer directly using the details provided with your appliance. If it was purchased through us, we’re happy to assist with warranty queries.
