However, a common question asked by our customers who are considering a kitchen renovation is “how long will it take?”. Of course, the answer is that this varies a lot depending on the circumstances, but this week we have decided to outline some of the main factors.
The physical dimensions and layout of your kitchen will largely determine the approach for your new kitchen design. You may be working with a small room, or the largest in your house. Nonetheless, it is paramount that the finished kitchen space is both a stylish and functional kitchen, with plenty of storage space, while working within the space available in the room.
At Kube, we will discuss this in-depth during the first phase of the project, with your lifestyle and dream home in mind. This is the design phase of your kitchen remodel and can take from one week to a number of weeks. It’s a very important part of the project and is worth spending the time and getting it right.
Once you have decided on your final design and have your kitchen on order, it’s time to turn your attention to appointing a builder or contractor, if required, and planning for your new kitchen installation.
Kube will assist with this phase by providing detailed floor plans for plumbing and electrical planning. All can be marked out, from where your electrics will be positioned, to the location of your dining table and lighting.
The time for this phase will be dependent on whether you are undertaking a complete kitchen renovation, doing some smaller remodeling work or replacing your current kitchen with similar.
It is advised that your room should be fully prepared before kitchen installation, including flooring and tiling. The kitchen installation will take from 3 to 5 days depending on the size of the kitchen. If you have chosen stone worktops, they will be templated following the kitchen installation and fitted approx. 10 days later, again dependent on the supplier you choose.
The completion of your kitchen remodel will include final painting, electrical and plumbing connections. Your dream kitchen should be ready for use.
